And the next night. when new transfer student castiel novak snakes his way into dean’s friend group, sean can’t help but see it as an infiltration. somethings is up with castirl, and he’s going to find out what. more accurately, he’s going to enlist his best and longest suffering hacker friend, charlie bradbury, to do it for him. not a single one of dean’s suspicions has anything to do with the fact that upon their first meeting, castiel insults his shoes, his general existence, and his masculinity by— looking at him like that.

for the whole thing being nothing but a subplot- I LOVED DWBS (wait but quick question- why is it called dean winchester beat sheet? did i miss when the beat sheet bit was mentioned?) i really did enjoy it. there is so much good that i can’t talk about without spoiling. look if you want spoilers-

i enjoyed comphet!dean which is crazy lmaooo but i enjoyed seeing this aspect of a fic. i’m realizing it’s a regular occuring trope. i like how everyone knew yet just remained quiet. seeing through dean’s fun house illusions. i felt for dean. not to flex but i was comfortable with my sexuality at a very young age so stories like this always seem to make my heart ache a little more. he was so scared when there was no reason to be. i loved cas. he had so much patience for dean despite being annoyed with him every once and a while. although always well earned and needed as it helped dean work through his sexuality more. also for you horny ppl, for a friends-with-benefits fic was a lot of sex and it was all really well written. thank you, salty feathers. (i will be checking out more fics)

also the college aspect, i graduated almost a year ago and tbh i miss college. i graduate a year earlier than i expected (damn another flex sorry guys) so i just love reading college aus right now.

also the way every bitch and there mama was in this fic was crazyyy. like . . . jo, charlie, aaron, pamela, benny, victor, cain, crowley. (i feel like we dont see enough crowley in au i need more crowley) okay maybe not every character but there was bitches i didn’t know expect but i definitely loved seeing!

also loved the thanksgiving chapter- might be my favorite- when we go visit bobby and ellen. it’s so sweet seeing cas in that environment. it reminded me of abandon all hope- the good half when they drink with cas and take a family photo.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? Quick reminder since apparently it bears reminding in both directions: if bigoted people, closed-minded people overall, or your own internalized insecurities misinterpret a queer person’s message in a way that hurts/endangers you, yeah, it sucks, but it’s not the fault of the queer person in question, nor should it be a reason for them to silence themselves. They’re probably as hurt/pissed as you are that someone misinterpreted and misused their message to do harm.

Of course sadly there’ll still be queer people that actually DO mean harm and dismissal to other queer people – I ain’t speaking for those and it’s not the best way to ensure their and others’ wellbeing imo. I’m just saying – not all people will be like that. That’s what I want to believe. So hopefully let’s not put everyone in the same bag, keep supporting each other, WHILE allowing each other to advocate for our own visibility, without having to self-erase or self-censor to accomodate to what haters might say.

It’ll be tougher this way, maybe, because humans seem to like to draw extreme conclusions very quick, but I don’t believe there’s any better way for us all to be alright and stay alright on the long run.

We zoom out again to see Nick, Miles, and Maya standing together again. Miles stares forward blankly, eyebrows raised. Maya excitedly leans in.

Maya: Ok, that's her whole discography. So! What did you think?

Nick looks at him, waiting for his response

We get a panel of Miles, looking bewildered. He starts to speak "I..."

We cut again to see the three of them standing together.

Miles: I... don't think I like women?

Miles looks shocked and confused. Nick is bent over laughing, using a hand on Miles's shoulder to support himself. Maya looks outraged and appalled!

Maya: MR. EDGEWORTH! Just because you don' like her musi it doesn't give you an excuse to be sexist!

We see a panel of Miles looking stressed and confused. He leans his head on one of his hands, which messes up his hair, showing how he isn't his normal put together self.

Miles: I should rephrase that. What I mean is, Ms. Roan is clearly VERY assured in her feelings towards women. I was... unaware that anyone felt that strongly. I thought we all viewed these things with a vague sense of distaste and unease but collectively ignored it. Like how we do with climate change.

We zoom out again to see the three of them. Miles stands in the middle looking deeply uncomfortable and lost in thought, vibrating with unease. Nick and Maya exchange deeply concerned glances across from him.

With lingering unease, Miles begins to walk away.

Miles: Well, I should be going then. Goodnight.

Nick hesitantly raises a finger to point out an inaccuracy in that statement

Nick: It's four in the afternoon-

he gets interrupted by Miles who repeats firmly: I said Goodnight

Nick looks in the direction Miles walked off in.

Nick: ...He'll be ok, right?

Maya reassures him: Of cours Nick! I mean, what's the worst that can happen?

Jump cut to a closeup of Nick's hand holding Miles' letter which reads Miles Edgeworth chooses death in all caps. Then, below in smaller font, it says Also femininomenon was really good, thanks.

We see a panel of Nick glaring wordlessly at Maya as he holds the letter in his hand. Maya leans against the wall and looks away, whistling, trying to look innocent to avoid blame.

As a bonus, we also have a page that takes place a year later. Miles and Nick stand talking. Miles looks calmer now, and Nick smiles encouragingly.

Miles: In my time in Europe, I've been examining myself and my approach to law. Ultimately, the most important focus must be justice. We owe it to ourselves and to the people we serve

Nick: Wow, that's really inspiring Edgeworth. And, uh, hows the... the other thing going?

We get a zoomed in panel of Miles glaring menacingly at a suddenly nervous Nick

Jumping out again, Miles turns his back to Nick as he continues to talk

Miles: So as I was saying, justice is truly so important...

Nick nervously rubs the back of his neck wearing an awkward expression as he sweats nervously. He thinks to himself internally "Ooookay then, clearly still working through some things there"
